Role Summary:

Hello Bello is looking for a Director, Human Resources that will promote an environment that emphasizes the importance of working as a team, trust, fairness, respect, and pride. The role is based in Waco, Texas and supports our growing fulfillment and manufacturing operations. The Director, Human Resources will lead a team of high-performing HR professionals with the goal of supporting employees through their entire journey at Hello Bello (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, professional development, etc.) The Director, Human Resources will ensure compliance, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable engaging with people at every level of the company. You will help build a robust onboarding program, implement policies and procedures across four buildings, conduct performance management training, and provide leadership development to managers.

Responsibilities:

• Foster a safe and trusting community where all employees are encouraged to thrive
• Collaborate with recruiting team to identify hiring needs, determine job specifications, develop recruitment strategy, support the screening process, and ensure staffing goals are meet
• Design and implement an orientation program that sets employees up for success and provides a sense of community and belonging
• Partner with Fulfillment and Manufacturing leadership to increase retention, foster an inclusive culture, and engage employees
• Develop protocols and policies that promote safety and fairness; ensuring ongoing training and adherence
• Use online HR systems to maximize efficiency and support on-going growth; and ensure all online and paper employee files/documents are organized and accurate
• Ensure compliance with federal and state law; stay up to date with changes to the law
• Assist employees in benefits, open enrollment, leaves of absence, and workers' comp
• Detect and handle employee relations issues; work closely with leadership to identify and implement solutions
• Provide leadership development training for managers

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of demonstrated success managing HR functions including, on-boarding, compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and leaves of absence
• Knowledge and experience working with various online HR platforms and systems HR best practices and principles including applicable labor, payroll, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations
• Experience supporting employees working in warehouse and/or manufacturing, and office employees
• Skilled in resolving conflict in a peaceful and productive manner, acting with discretion and confidentiality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to facilitate interaction with all levels of management
• Experience overseeing payroll processing for 150+ hourly and salaried employees
• Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience or appropriate combination of education and relevant practical experience
• SHRM-CP or PHR certifications preferred
