What we make:

We design and manufacture multisensory illusions of nature for enclosed interiors in need of a visual exit point to a natural exterior. Our family of evidence-based design (EBD) virtual skylights and windows incorporate the compositional principles of fine art, the magical realism of digital technology, and the insights of cognitive psychology. Together these disciplines enable our team to create vivid portals to open skies, natural landscapes, and underwater environments that trigger humankind’s hardwired ‘Relaxation Response.’

Qualities we are looking for in new employee:

Sky Factory’s Engineering team is seeking a dynamic Mechanical or Industrial Engineer who can think on their feet, break down problems into their essential components, plan and execute on multiple projects, as well as imagine next year’s design while servicing our current deployment of environmental solutions.

We are a small, nimble company playing on a global field. We design for huge healthcare networks as well as for dynamic clinical environments. We manufacture for commercial and specialized environments and always look forward to the custom projects that challenge our assumptions.

Experience/Requirements:

• CAD - Solidworks preferred

• Sheet Metal Design

• Extrusion Design

• Lighting Design

• Basic electrical knowledge

• Some hands on experience

• Project Management

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Valid driver’s license

• Occasional travel may be required

• B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
