Position Title: Customer Service Representative

Department: Finance

Reports To: Dealer and Consumer Services Manager

General Summary: Serves customers by providing product and service information; taking & processing orders, resolving product and service problems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Enter orders from customers received via telephone, electronically or face to face
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Review and follow through on all warranty issues
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to process service inquiries
  • Provide pricing and delivery information to customers
  • Set up new customer accounts and perform related verifications
  • Process orders, applications, and requests
  • Organize workflow and dispatch to meet customer expectations
  • Direct requests and unresolved inquiries to the designated resources
  • Record inquiry details, comments, and complaints
  • Prepare and distribute various activity reports
  • Maintain customer databases
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process
  • Any and all other responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard
  • Communication skills - verbal and written
  • Understanding of hand tools/use & application
  • Highly motivated, flexible, self-directed, and outgoing personality
  • Listening & interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Retail customer service experience helpful
  • Clear understanding of customer service principles and practices
