About Stepful

Stepful is an online school reimagining the way students upskill and healthcare employers hire. We are focused on training the next generation of allied healthcare workers, including Phlebotomists, EKG technicians and Medical Assistants.

We launched in early 2021 and have already changed the lives of hundreds of students. Our graduates, mainly from underprivileged communities, go on to work at leading healthcare institutions such as Quest Diagnostics, Davita, and New York Presbytarian. Stepful students increase their salaries by 60% on average after just 15 weeks of training.

The Role

As a content developer, you will build the learning experience for hundreds of students enrolled in our Clinical Medical Assisting program, and will have the opportunity to make a real impact in their lives. This is a project-based, contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time role.

What You’ll Do

• Develop high-quality, engaging online learning content as per the Stepful Clinical Medical Assistant curriculum
• Follow the Stepful standards for content development format and flow
• Prepare questions for assessments throughout the course
• Receive guidance and direction from the internal team at Stepful
• Adhere to the project timeline and regularly communicate via Zoom, Slack and email regarding content status and progress

Qualifications

• Experience working as a certified Clinical Medical Assistant
• Experience developing online educational content as a professor, TA, or MOOC author
• Pursuing or completed an advanced healthcare degree, such as biology or nursing
• Stellar writing and communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Documents
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Receptive to constructive feedback on style and substance
• Ability to work remotely (you have a stable internet connection and computer)
• Ability to work 20 – 30 hours per week
