Lakeview Terrace– a Life Care Community, is enhancing and advancing the art of Life Care. Our gated campus occupies 100 serene acres on the edge of the Ocala National Forest. Featuring two lakes with fishing docks, walking paths, a natural area for picnicking and a new Rehab Center and Exercise Pool Complex. Purpose:

Prepare dining room by setting tables and stations according to dining room standards and ensure resident satisfaction by serving food and beverages.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare dining room by setting tables and stations according to dining room standards including table cloth, center pieces, condiments, service plates and utensils. Maintain a clean and attractive dining area and work station at all times.
  • Greet residents and guests. Assist in selection of food & beverage choices by suggesting menu items, clearly and completely explaining chef s specials and answering food preparation questions. Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen is running low or out of any items, etc. Keep stations stocked at all times. Restock dishes, trays and cutlery during service.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction by serving food and beverages in a timely manner. Bus and pre-bus throughout service. Accurately and completely take resident and guest orders, correctly putting orders into the Point of Sale system and to the kitchen.
  • Responsible for cleaning and care of equipment and work stations in work areas. Scrape and wash all dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, before placing into dishwasher or pot sink. Responsible for proper close down of dining areas. Breakdown and clean steam table, salad bar, desert bar, soup and bread wells.
  • Correctly serve orders by picking up and delivering residents choices from kitchen or serving line using table numbers and seat numbers. Deliver meal accompaniments and condiments when applicable.
  • When appropriate and necessary, perform food preparation as directed by management with special emphasis on proper food handling and food safety. Label, date and store leftovers and ingredients used during food preparation.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments of equipment, walls, floors and filters. Comply with all governmental sanitation codes as apply to our facility.
  • Attend all required in-services and trainings. Attend all pre-shift meal meetings. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation codes, federal and state rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualification:

  • For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff; must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
  • Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 35 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be trained in the Heimlich maneuver or willing to be trained.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous serving experience is preferred.

$12.00 - Negotiable
