Harmony MediCall Spine Sports & Pain, a comprehensive primary and specialty care center is looking for an experienced medical assistant & phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document basic medical history
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
• Check with patients and type up patients' charts
• Assist during medical examinations, diagnostics, and procedures
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
• Venipuncture and blood draws, and handling papsmear and urine samples to be picked up by processing labs.

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software: Athena EHR (preferred)
• Degree in medical assistance & phlebotomy

Requirements:

• knowledge of Athena Health or similar EHR
• procedures and medications authorizations
• front desk and clinical intake coverage

Orientation & Training:

• 1 week

Availability / Schedules:

Weekdays: 8.30am-5pm

Saturday: 8:00am-2pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
