Lilac Springs Assisted Living is a 24-bed CBRF located in Lake Mills, WI, serving elderly residents. Lilac Springs was built in 2015 and provides a wonderful, warm environment. Lilac Springs is seeking a full-time Administrator.

The Administrator handles the day-to-day operations, is responsible for direct supervision of staff and maintaining resident census. The Administrator’s responsibilities also include maintaining DQA compliance, including completion of required reports, documentation, and training compliance.

Duties:

  • Supervises Care Staff and oversees their responsibilities. The Administrator is responsible for training, scheduling, providing support for, and being a mentor to Care Staff.
  • Responsible for DQA compliance
  • Responsible for leading the assessment of potential residents and maintaining census with appropriate residents for the facility.
  • Responsible for interviewing potential staff, completion of new hire paperwork and overseeing new hire orientation training, DQA mandated training and continuing education as required.
  • Responsible for staff performance reviews.
  • Responsible for ISP review and completion; resident chart/records completion and review; interaction with the residents and their families and/or responsible parties; providing problem solving support for the Care Staff; review of resident appropriateness for residency and documentation to support same; leading the team in presentation of ISPs to residents, families and/or responsible parties.
  • Responsible for meeting budgetary guidelines and cost containment in staffing costs and hours of the RCA staff, kitchen, and housekeeping staff. The Administrator is responsible for review of staff schedules and hours to meet these guidelines.
  • Shares “on call” duties with Care Coordinator and RCA Team Leads

Qualifications

  • Is an approved facility administrator under current DQA guidelines with appropriate experience. Can be a RN, CMA, LPN or Nursing Home Administrator with current certification or license, but not required.
  • Is able to promote teamwork and mentor supervised staff.
  • Previous experience with residents/patients who are aged, afflicted with dementia or terminally ill due to age and dementia related issues.
  • Has good working knowledge of DHS 83.
  • Has good working knowledge of medication systems used in CBRFs.
  • Is able to meet trainer approval guidelines for Standard Precautions under DHS 83.
  • Familiar with public funding through county programs and MCOs (Family Care).
  • Experienced in supervision, scheduling, and training of care staff and entry level administrative staff. Experience in staff and facility management required. Strong leadership skills. Good communication skills.
  • Public speaking and presentation experience desired. Marketing experience desired.
  • Advanced training in supervision and business administration, participation in WALA’s Administrator’s Course or CALA certification desired.
