Scofield & Scofield PC, is seeking career-oriented candidates that have recently graduated college with no experience up to 1 year of accounting experience for the position of audit staff accountant. Duties and responsibilities will include performing accounting, auditing, and tax related tasks as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel. Must effectively communicate with the client to receive information necessary to complete the engagement. Will be required to meet time constraints. Must become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA, and other standards bodies. Expected to become proficient with the firms software programs. Some In-state travel spread throughout the year is required. Candidates must have a university accounting degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in accounting, an exceptional understanding of accounting and business theory, and possess sound judgment, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to travel to client locations, and a desire to provide clients with superior service. The active pursuit of a CPA license is desirable.
