We are seeking an individual experienced in retail sales to be responsible for the daily operation of the Hawai'i Tiare Rose store. The successful candidate will be able to sell to and routinely interact with customers in-person and through written correspondence, set and meet sales and profitability goals, and manage staff effectively. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in marketing, retail or fashion.

Responsibilities

• Develop business strategies to increase sales, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute a marketing store strategy
• Suggest new operational strategies to improve store's performance and productivity
• Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
• Set and meet sales goals
• Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to maintain productivity at all times
• Supervise, train and assist store employees in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions
• Create a healthy and enjoyable store work environment
• Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure stocking to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals
• Maintain outstanding store tidiness and visual merchandising standards
• Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
• Develop and execute a clienteling program, devoting time each work day to customer outreach
• Assist with planning and execution of store events
• Use Shopify to keep track of inventory and shrinkage
• Additional managerial duties as needed

Requirements and skills

• Proven successful experience in retail stores, management or fashion
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Reliability and dependability
• Marketing & social media experience, including Instagram video editing
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication in English through speech and writing
• College degree preferred
• Computer literacy including Google Sheets, Gmail, Shopify (or ability to quickly learn)
• Clear background on background check
• Physically, constant walking and standing, frequent bending, kneeling and reaching
• Physically, consistently lift 25-50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with the ability to push or pull more than 50 lbs.

This is a full time salaried position with the following benefits:

Schedule: 5 hour shift + 1-2 hours clienteling (5 or 6 days/week)
