Residential Solar – Assistant Project Manager

Invaleon is currently seeking to build our residential solar team and hire a Assistant Project Manager. This role will work alongside the Residential Solar Project Manager to support the engineering, procurement and construction of residential solar projects. This person should have a site surveying/engineering background and be a high-functioning individual who can complete a multitude of tasks under tight deadlines. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Residential Solar Project Manager with the residential solar pipeline:
  • Prepare residential solar applications/paperwork – work alongside engineering to make sure interconnections and building permits are submitted
  • Assist with heat loan applications and SMART incentive paperwork
  • Engage in communication with the appropriate parties: towns/cities – file and closeout permits; inspectors – schedule inspections; utilities/municipalities – file for interconnection and PTO
  • Help manage the life cycle of residential solar projects from contract through commissioning and closeout
  • Procurement of residential solar equipment - Work directly with vendors and distributors to order and secure equipment
  • Pre-construction meeting coordination - Work closely with the residential solar project lead or electricians to go over scope of work before install
  • Assist residential solar project lead and installers during the install
  • Project schedules - Meet weekly with the residential solar team to discuss project pipeline, scheduling and look ahead
  • Collaborating directly with the Residential Solar Customer Services Representative to manage customers’ expectations and closeout solar projects to receive final payments

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade experience in site surveying, engineering, and construction project management
  • Completion of OSHA-10 training or equivalent construction safety course
  • 1 year of experience working in a solar setting, preferred, or construction or manual labor background
  • Ability to climb ladders, have good balance, not be afraid of heights and also lift heavy equipment 40+ lbs
  • Competent use power, hand tools and other related equipment
  • Must be comfortable working all four seasons in hot, cold and inclement weather
  • Proficiency/Familiarity with Code Compliance: NEC, IBC, NFC
  • Working knowledge of AC & DC electrical design principles
  • Strength in working independently, but also as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience dealing with all types of professionals within and outside of the company
  • Outstanding written, verbal and communications skills
  • Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel; Adobe Suite; Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar Sheets, Meet, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, driving record check and drug screen

Experience Required

  • 1-2 years of project management experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
