Job Description :

Sound Aircraft Services is an aviation company providing ground services to aircraft as a Fixed Based Operator (FBO).

As a Line Service Technician, you will provide ground support to arriving and departing aircraft and professional, courteous service for crew members and their passengers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a wide range of aircraft and customer support services.
  • Marshal aircraft arriving or departing in our ramp area, greet passengers and crew, Tow aircraft when necessary and provide requested ground services.
  • Fuel aircraft as requested.
  • Provide shuttle service for passengers/crew as required.
  • Provide aircraft ground power as requested.
  • Assist passengers and/or crew with baggage/cargo as needed.
  • Assist with general cleaning of hangars, clearing of debris from ramp, building and customer areas as needed.
  • Conduct daily/weekly quality control inspections and procedures of refueler vehicles and ground service equipment.
  • Provide oil service for aircraft as requested.
  • Assist with wing-walking duties as required.
  • Monitor tank quantity and refill aircraft fuel trucks at the fuel farm as needed.
  • Receiving of fuel farm inventory
  • Routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Required periodic quality control inspections.
  • Conduct all associated record keeping in a neat and accurate manner.
  • Interact with others in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Follow up with other company departments and employees.
  • Recommend process and communication improvements.
  • Work with accuracy, clarity, and an eye for detail
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must pass all conducted drug/alcohol screens, background and security checks and prove eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • High School Diploma required; college preferred.
  • Experience with aviation ground handling preferred
  • Valid state drivers license required.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to act under pressure and be adaptable to change on a constant basis.
  • Professional verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Physical Demands

  • Requires operation of vehicles in excess of 50,000 pounds.
  • Required to be able to lift 50 pound luggage and cargo boxes in and out of aircraft and cars.
  • Ability to use base station radio to communicate with crew/tower, customer service agent and ramp manager via two way radio.

Working Conditions

Entails carrying out demanding tasks within a fast paced, physically challenging aviation environment.
Position consists of working both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to nature’s elements and daily exposure to aircraft engine noise, exhaust fumes and fuel vapors, and fuel to skin contact.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
