Job Description :

The Accounting Operations Manager manages the day-to-day finance and accounting activity including but not limited to; accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, purchasing and contracts, general ledger maintenance, cash management, audit management, budgeting, financial reporting, insurance billing and claims, government funding/reporting, financial controls, financial records, and month end and year-end closing.

Duties Include:

  • Oversees the accounting operations including - budgeting and expense management, revenue forecasting, cash management, investment management, financial policies and controls, bank relationships, contracts, purchasing, collaborate with HR on operational processes, employee management and development.
  • Works with the CFO in maintaining Agencys financial accounting of funds in accordance with Federal, State and funding contracts. Generates financial reports, analyze data, reconciles, and presents findings.
  • Oversees government grants and claims operations grant reporting, grant budgeting and expense management, claims and billing management, financial software management. Accounting point person for EMR system and accounting software upgrades and transitions.
  • Manage and maintain the claims process systems for various funded Agency programs. Maintain knowledge of insurance carriers, payers and processes of the revenue cycle management function. Medicaid, Medicare and third-party billing.
  • Proactively prepare, respond and successfully complete all fiscal financial audits. Maintains current knowledge of the latest accounting tools, concepts, GAAP standards, and trends.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting required. Master Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Operations Management, CPA, Non-profit; 5 or more years of experience is preferred
  • Experience managing processes and accounting professionals, Accounting/finance, Auditing and analyzing data, Present data/financial results and projections, Quality management, Developing and reviewing budgets, Knowledge of general HR concepts in relation to finance, Medical insurance billing, Revenue cycle management and nonprofit experience preferred problem solving, Attention to detail, Intermediate math skills, Excellent communication/written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective critical thinking, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong analytical abilities to process and present information. Proven ability to foster and maintain open, collaborative, and constructive relationships with co-workers and AAA 1-B leadership to achieve departmental and operational results
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including experience working with accounting software databases
  • CMA or CPA certification is preferred but not required
