Job Summary

The Vice President of Operations provides strategic leadership, direction, and ongoing support for all aspects for the medical system service lines of Orthopedics, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and Procedure. This includes responsibility for developing and implementing overall service line strategy, including growth, development, provider & staff engagement, financial performance, budget planning, contracting with vendors & physicians, and physician & APP compensation development. This leader will have a great deal of interaction with the Service Line Medical Directors along with the physicians of the service line. The Vice President of Operations is the primary linkage to support systems such as CoxHealth Hospitals, IT, Finance, Nursing, Marketing, or Supply Chain.

Job Requirements

Education

Required: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Experience

Required: At least 5 years’ leadership experience

Skills

Must be able to work effectively with staff, public and external agencies.

Must have the ability to take initiative and to exercise good judgment and decision-making

Problem solving

Critical thinking, conflict management, negotiation and Personnel development
