LPN or MA , full-time day shift , Piedmont Henry Hospital

JOB PURPOSE:
Providing support to patients undergoing interventional procedures in the Breast Health Center. Providing assistance to radiologists and technologists during exams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides psychosocial, educational, and clinical support to all patients undergoing breast interventional procedures
2. Coordinates interventional schedule for maximum productivity and efficiency
3. Reviews interventional schedule 3 days prior to ensure orders and films are available and patient contact is performed
4. Assists radiologist during procedure
5. Contacts all patients the following day to ascertain condition
6. Manages supplies required for interventional procedures
7. Maintains staff education
8. Ensures attendance at mandatory staff meetings.
9. Maintains departmental customer service rating at predetermined standards of 92.5 percent.
10. Job responsibilities may include proximity to medications while in areas with restricted
access.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certification as a Licensed practical nurse or medical assistant or clinical partner II with one (1) year of previous experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Certification as a Licensed practical nurse if applicable
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent patient care skills. Empathetic, caring attitude exhibited. Able to organize work schedule, prioritize patient needs to maximize productivity and efficiency of the breast interventional schedule.

Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.
