Position Description

Believe to Achieve is currently searching for highly-qualified, FL-certified teachers for our Title I Reading & Math programs. Our goal is to hire teachers who are passionate about creating exceptional learning experiences for underachieving students. As a Title I teacher, you will provide 1:1 or small group instruction in both reading & math to students in grades K-12. You will work closely with school staff and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress. Part-time schedules vary up to 25 hours per week (Monday to Thursday; 9AM to 2:30PM). Candidates must be certified to teach reading, mathematics and/or language arts or hold a Statement of Eligibility.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver small group instruction to underachieving students in reading and math
• Administer assessments to students & track progress
• Create lesson plans
• Maintain student files and other administrative duties as needed
• Provide a safe and positive learning environment
• Accompany students to and from the Title I classroom
• Continually communicate with parents and classroom teachers
• Complete required reporting documents

Position Requirements:

• Florida Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility
• Teaching experience with elementary, middle and high school students
• Effective classroom management skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, classroom teachers and parents
• Computer proficiency required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and attitude at all times
