Forbush and Associates is a growing accounting firm focused on providing ongoing service to small and medium sized business. We work directly with business owners often providing full accounting services to the business in place of them hiring someone directly. It means you get to work with many businesses doing accounting instead of just one. But it does mean you are handling many client interactions on a near daily basis. We are a team of 14 but have an opportunity to grow and are looking for people that can take us to 20 and 30 employees in the next 2 years.

Staff Accountant

Qualifications include:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (required) or Masters in Accounting (preferred). CPA Candidate
• Freshly graduated from University is fine.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Strong organizational, technical and communication skills

Responsibilities (dependent upon experience):

• Willingness to work primarily in tax strategy and return preparation and compliance
• Additional work available as time and load permits in attest, consulting and even some bookkeeping.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of accounting programs. Will train on accounting and tax platforms used

• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Ability to work in deadline-driven environment.
• Preparation and review of individual and business tax returns, including multi-state
• Preparation of journal entries
• Perform accounting necessary for the preparation of tax returns, commonly working with QuickBooks
• Preparation, compilation and review of financial statements
• High net worth tax planning and consulting
• Tax Research tax issues
