Data Transformation Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Software
Engineer for our Turnersville, New Jersey site to participate in all phases of the software design & development lifecycle (design, code, test, test automation, data analytics) while observing industry-best practices.

You will leverage CMMI Maturity Level 2 software engineering processes and procedures while performing respective software engineering and verification activities.

In this important role, you will collaborate in a development environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be key to success in this role.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

• Gathering requirements, defining system functionality and executing full lifecycle software development using C
• Building high quality software that complies with coding standards and technical design
• Developing automated tests using Python
• Troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading existing systems
• Taking ownership for increasingly difficult tasks, completing them on schedule, documenting results, leading demonstrations of usable code

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

***US Citizenship and ability to pass a Public Trust background check are required to be considered for this position***

• Work in a collaborative team providing development and sustainment of Mission Critical Real-Time Systems
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Demonstrated expertise with software development (analysis, design, programming and testing) in C as well as familiarity/experience with other languages
• 10+ years' experience in software development, maintenance, engineering or support of large-scale software programs in various languages such C, C++, or Java
• Experience developing for Linux/UNIX environment and using Configuration Management and Version Control tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ClearCase, ClearQuest, Jira, and/or Confluence
• Experience with computer networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, NIST security requirements are a plus
• Experience with scripting or test automation using Python or JUnit
• Experience researching technical challenges and providing effective solutions
• Familiarity with Cloud-based architectures
• Familiarity with FAA and aviation systems is a definite plus
