Child's Play Therapy Services, PC, is an award-winning pediatric multidisciplinary private pediatric clinic with locations in the East Bay. We provide occupational, speech therapy, and feeding therapy to children from birth to adolescence. We are dedicated to helping children build the skills needed for successful relationships and a positive sense of self.

We provide therapy to children with a range of diagnoses, including speech and language disorders, pragmatic language disorders, ASD, developmental delays, fluency disorders, and articulation and phonological disorders.

We are looking for an experienced and independent SLP to join our leadership team as the Head of the Speech Department for one of our east bay locations. This position is responsible for recruiting and retaining staff, caseload management, clinical education, supervision, program development, and direct patient care.

Duties:

• Recruit, interview and hire speech therapy staff
• Supervise CF's
• Supervise SLPA's
• Work closely with staff SLP's to develop, and oversee their professional education plan
• Implement weekly staff meetings
• Conduct clincial eduction programs, facilitate case study presentations and cross discipline collaboration meetings
• Ensure department maintains highest level of clincial integrity and provides evidenced based practice for best outcomes
• Works collaboratively with OT department head

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree or equivalent Speech Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution
• Must have ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Must have Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of California
• 4+ years of experience as a licensed clinician
• Leadership experience
• Caseload Management experience
• Training in PROMPT, Hanen, AAC, and Gestalt Language is a plus.
• Previous pediatric treatment experience required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Proof of immunization records and TB required
• CPR certification is preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule in mulitple locations
• Willing to co-treat with OT's as needed.
