About the Job

Decide4Action is looking for a Software Support Engineer to join our organization, who brings a versatile personality, positive attitude and good problem solving capabilities to our team. The main responsibilities of this position will be providing technical support to our customers as well as assisting with product deployment/installation. In addition, you will be tasked with product testing and helping with product development in conjunction with the development team.

A key part of our business is building and maintaining relationships with our customers and as such, any potential applicant must be willing to travel to customer sites throughout the US to assist in new system implementation and training. Travel typically represents 4-5 days every month.

Responsibilities

· Test and Maintain Software Products

· Provide Technical Support to Customers via Phone/E-mail/Ticketing Software

· Create Product Documentation and Training Materials

· Maintain an in-depth knowledge of rapidly changing product offerings

· Create and maintain databases, stored procedures, and queries (MSSQL)

· Interact with team members throughout the application life-cycle

· Communicate project status and identify technical risks

· Provide technical knowledge to support other staff members within the organization

· Create automated testing scripts to streamline future testing

· Deploy new versions of code issued by the Development Team

Primary Qualifications

· Prior Experience in a Technical Support or Training Role

· Excellent Oral & Written Communication Skills

· Positive Attitude

· Experience with Windows Operating Systems, including Windows Server OS

· Willingness to travel to on-site installs as needed

· Willingness to work extra hours as required by workload and deadlines, including some off-shift training as necessary.

Additional (Non-Required) Qualifications

· Experience with SQL or Oracle Databases.

· Web Hosting Experience using Apache/IIS/NGINX.

· Development using C#,JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, PHP and HTML 5.

· Experience with SaaS Model Applications or IoT Systems.

· Knowledge of cloud based databases and services is a plus.

· Experience with Reporting Tools such as Crystal Reports

Education and Certification Requirements

· College degree and/or technical certification

· Certification related to application programming and database is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
