Job Title: Software Developer Department: IT

Reports to: Supervisor of IT Development Effective Date: October, 15, 2022

Job Summary:

The Software Developer supports NCCS’ IT Department by identifying user needs, creating, implementing, maintaining, and improving software products to support those needs, and incorporating user feedback into ongoing improvements and the creation and implementation of future products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

• Designing software products to address the needs of internal and external customers
• Writing, implementing, and documenting efficient code
• Soliciting, documenting, and implementing user feedback
• Improving and maintaining software products
• Providing assistance to employees in the use and administration of software products
• Troubleshooting software issues
• Identifying vulnerabilities and providing recommendations to resolve vulnerabilities in NCCS’ software products
• Drafting guides to aid employees in the correct use of software products
• Testing and evaluating software products
• Communicating recommendations, challenges, or issues to management as appropriate
• Maintaining a neat and clean workspace
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Other reasonable tasks as requested

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Experience with Java or C# or other OOP/Class based languages
• Familiarity with any web frameworks like ASP.NET, Spring Boot, Blazor, Flask
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 3+ Years C# experience
• 3+ Years Python experience
• Familiarity with frameworks like .NET's Entity Framework or Hibernate
• Experience building or running docker containers
• Experience with CI/CI tools like Azure DevOps Pipelines

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, sitting, and/or kneeling
• Prolonged screen exposure
• Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Climbing ladders up to 4ft high

Status:

• Full-Time
• Hourly
• FLSA non-exempt

Compensation:

• $16.83-$26.50/hour, DOE
• Performance-Based Bonus
