Truckee Tahoe Lumber is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator for a full-time role in Reno, Nevada. Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, supporting, maintaining, and monitoring all on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure.

You must have experience designing and building complex and secure Azure based systems and networks. You will be responsible for provisioning, managing, monitoring, and decommissioning all IT infrastructure related systems. Additional duties consist of planning, implementing, and testing disaster recovery between Azure data centers and ensuring timely recovery of existing services.

This role is for someone who is experienced and hands on in Microsoft infrastructure technologies, enjoys working in enterprise environments and wants to be part of an innovative team dedicated to building performant, secure, and robust enterprise class environments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Support and maintain Azure tenant in hybrid environment, Office365, Windows Server, RDS, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows10 Multisession, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, InTune, DNS and DHCP.

· Provision, maintain, monitor all servers, workstations, thin clients, printers, network switches, routers, WiFi APs.

· Experience with basic troubleshooting and network concepts with a fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, connectivity troubleshooting, cabling, etc...

· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in Azure VMs, Windows Server, RDS, Certificate Services, Exchange, and SQL database.

· Plan for capacity, performance, and service availability of servers and storage

· Optimize Azure services to ensure hosting costs align with the IT budget.

· Maintain patch levels and secure systems in compliance with industry standards.

· Ensure data compliance, including overseeing backups, data location, and data retention policies

· Monitor, maintain, and secure remote access.

· Work with help desk to maintain, replace or upgrade UPS batteries, bar-code readers, credit card readers, etc.

· Apply best practices to all aspects of the IT infrastructure environment from physical facilities to virtual services.

· Maintain an operational knowledge of the latest Windows server and desktop features, best practices and system/application configurations.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to helpdesk administrator.

· Create, contribute, and maintain technical documentation.

· Work with vendors and value added resellers to plan, and implement new or upgrade IT infrastructure

· Purchases IT supplies, hardware, software, and services as needed.

· Assist in developing and planning for future IT needs.

· Drive technical projects & implementations from beginning-to-end to improve service. Develop solutions to complex technical problems

· Work with helpdesk to organize and maintain IT supplies and spare parts.

· Implement IT policies and procedures per company guidelines.

· Position requires occasionally working beyond normal business hours, at evening and/or weekend work.

· Split on-call duties with Director of Information Technology

· All other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related technical discipline.

Experience

Required minimum of 4-5 years of experience with the following:

· Experience managing and administering Information Technology for critical enterprise infrastructures.

· Azure and Office365 administration.

· Microsoft Windows Server operating systems administration (2008, 2012, 2016).

· Extensive background and experience with Active Directory and Group Policy in a multi-site network environment.

· Experience in configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing and securing infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), MS SQL Server, and Exchange.

· Experience with mail flow and troubleshooting on mail systems such as Office365 and Exchange

· Basic Networking TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, VNET, IPSEC VPN, DNS, DHCP, etc...

· Mid to advanced understanding of security concepts and best practices

· Knowledge of PowerShell scripting language

· Infrastructure backup, restoration, and disaster recovery

· Experience with Dell Wyse Cloud

· Experience with device management, automation, and provisioning systems including an understanding of WSUS and InTune services

· Communication in a professional, diplomatic, friendly, and tactful manner.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
