Tradefull is looking for an infinite learner with experience in PHP to join our growing Tradefull application team as a Senior Software Engineer. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, excellent judgment, and the ability to deal with ambiguity while remaining productive.

You will assist in developing our custom PHP and Laravel web applications, suggest improvements, address security needs, and contribute best practices for our software development lifecycle. Most importantly, you will help us solve interesting software engineering challenges.

What you’ll do in this role

• Plan, code, test, and deploy new features/applications/projects/modules/plugins

• Adheres to coding standards defined by the engineering team and follows the preset protocols

• Accurately employs our development tools

• Understands standard systems development lifecycle processes

• Lead, mentor and supervise others as needed where your competencies apply

• Minor and major application feature development

• Assist stakeholders in developing feature specifications

• Tests the developed functionality before completing the tasks

• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

• Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

• Create and maintain software documentation

• Troubleshoot application bugs and determine resolutions

• Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability

What qualifies you for this role

• 4+ years experience with PHP, Modern Backend Framework (CakePHP, Laravel, Symfony, etc.), Modern Front End Framework (Vue, jQuery, Angular, etc.), HTML5, MSSQL & CSS; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 2+ years working as part of a software engineering team

• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred

• Work authorization in the United States required

• Github or other code repository account for review preferred
