A leading specialist consultant and supplier to the protective coating and corrosion control industry for over 40 years, is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their growing team of professionals in the Columbus, OH area. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Projects, the mission of this role is to own the overall project execution of large projects dealing with abrasive blasting and protective coating spray facilities.

Essential Functions

• Strong Mechanical Engineering aptitude, a Design/Build Construction background and demonstrate extensive experience Project Managing complex industrial construction and equipment projects.
• Develops technical solutions w/options – in conjunction with SMEs
• Creates and maintains detailed budgets
• Creates and maintains project timelines
• Creates and maintains project bills of material
• Creation and management of subcontractor agreements
• Experience with construction contracts as well as terms and conditions
• Engages with a wide range of sub-contractors to obtain accurate & competitive costs when necessary
• Creates polished presentations with high level detail
• Strict management of the overall project budget which includes reporting and forecasting
• Evaluation, contracting, and oversight of general contractors or other sub-contractors

Knowledge and/or Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management with Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical construction related experience (Required)
• 10+ years of Project Management experience leading large ($5m+) projects (Required)
• Strong Mechanical Engineering aptitude (Required)
• Design/Build Construction background (Required)
• Demonstrate extensive experience Project Managing complex industrial construction and equipment projects (Required)
• Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting (Required)
• Experience with industrial equipment, construction, or related projects (Preferred)
• Experience in process engineering, documentation, and metal working (Preferred)
• A basic knowledge of electric circuits, controllers & pneumatics would be an advantage
• Formal PMP Certification is an advantage
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
