Position: Senior Human Resource Generalist

Reports to: Human Resource Director

Location: Hudson, WI

Generalist, as part of our amazing team at Refrigerated Solutions Group (RSG).

This role will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning and employee engagement. In addition, they will own programs that run across the broader HR team. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall company experience.

To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.

Examples of Duties:

  • Recruit’s employees by placing ads, attending job fairs, selecting candidates for interviews, and interviewing finalists for hourly positions
  • Prepares job offer letters and performs new hire orientations, including introduction to company policies and benefit information. Participates in employee orientation, training, benefit reviews, and all onboarding activities for new hires and established personnel
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ideate on social media campaign creating, testing, technology enhancements and program analysis
  • Provide daily management and monitoring for RSG accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram,

Facebook, YouTube and additional social networks

  • Help develop new ideas and concept to leverage social media to tell the story of RSG and its customers
  • Provide support for employee development plans and training initiatives
  • Knowledge of Gallup Q12 employee engagement survey and optimizing action plan to create a better culture
  • Provide support in maintenance of records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, attendance records, discipline records, employee performance appraisal records and schedules
  • Write, review, and update human resource policies to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws

Job Description

  • Participate in audits, compliance testing, and compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Create reports for Director of HR, VP of HR, GM, and others as required, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilites:

  • Working knowledge of HR principles, methods and procedures including (example may include FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA and ADA and EEOC regulations).
  • Strong Payroll background
  • Strong written, oral, and listening communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving – the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet multiple priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Prefer 4-6 years’ experience with progressive HR responsibility in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills: i.e. able to perform at a proficient level Excel spreadsheets, and to continue pursuing higher skill levels in order to increase value to the department and organization
  • Project Management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks to changing situations and priorities
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability
