POSITION SUMMARY
This Security Officer job patrols an assigned site on foot and drives a golf cart, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets, staff, and personnel.

Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Essential function(s)

• Act as a crime deterrent while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Patrolling and monitoring activities on the client’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
• Notify supervisors and on-site staff of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches, and/or safety hazards.
• Conduct standardized reports that are prompt, detailed, professional, and accurate relative to the incident.
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area.
• Must embody and promote company values while operating as a highly visible deterrent on site.
• Perform various job-related duties as assigned.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have knowledge of security protocols.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid/active Security Guard License.
• Must have successfully completed all stated mandated training (AB2880).
• Preferably have a minimum of 1 year of experience in security.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must project a professional appearance.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.

WORK SCHEDULE
As a non-exempt hourly employee, the employee shall work a designated schedule as assigned by management. Scheduling is subject to change at any given notice.
Employee shall not work over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week without prior authorization from management but if so, will earn overtime for any work performed in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. The employee must also follow the company’s policies regarding required meal breaks.
