Job Details:

• Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs within Pharmacy personnel.
• Fulfills roles of pharmacy manager when he/she is absent.
• Implements and upholds proper Pharmacy and general safety procedures and standards.
• Verifies prescriptions and refills with physician by phone. Selects substitutions when necessary.
• Obtains patient medical history and maintains confidential computer record.
• Checks prescriptions and over the counter medications for drug interactions.
• Counsels patients on proper medication usage. Answers patient questions about over-the-counter medication and product location. Addresses other patient concerns including insurance issues. Preserves patient confidentiality.
• Ensures that proper department procedures and standards are followed. Implements and upholds safety and security procedures; monitors department cleanliness.
