Quality Assurance Technician

Summary of position: Executes QC Testing, Inspection and Documentation in support of production strategies and goals to maximize the profits to the company by continuously inspecting finish product, raw materials, processes to production of high-quality parts and cutting costs by eliminating the occurrence of excess scrap defects. Exemplifies the behavior necessary to create and maintain a high-performance workplace. Proactively seeks opportunities for improvement and to give support to assure maximum company performance.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties: Not limited to

• Performs first article, in-process and final inspection: includes visual, mechanical and minimal calibration.
• Prepares / performs the following duties, SPC, Root cause, Analysis, and Corrective Preventative action reports as directed.
• Prepares other records and reports, ensures they are accurate and complete. This documentation may contain process guides and procedures to meet and maintain quality standards.
• Comply with all applicable regulations including PPE requirements.
• Helping in the development of processes and procedures necessary to produce quality parts.
• Running checks (auditing) to ensure that work is being performed to standard.
• Proactively identifying problems and making improvements.
• assist in Training welders, painters and fabricators involved in processes.

Maintains Equipment

• Ensure proper storage and cleanliness of all measuring devices.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematics.
• Reasoning ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Show dexterity and mechanical skills, have technical skills to understand blueprints and specifications; ethical, good communicator. Self - motivator with solution oriented and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
