AV/Lighting/Shading Project Manager (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Ideal candidate is already an on-site, construction-style, low-voltage (A/V, Lighting & Shading), Project Manager. Has aptitude and experience in both residential and commercial low-voltage projects while looking to further grow their skill sets. Typical technologies are Audio, Video, Controls, Lighting, Shading, Networks, Access, Security, Unified Communications (UC), etc. Illusive Automation has a deep focus on residential integration projects so that skill set is strongly desired. Possess great command of the English language and excellent communication skills. If you have a PMP – even better!

Annual Salary Range: $80k to $100k (Based on Experience)

Location:

• Ability to travel throughout FL to project sites
• The company office is in Fort Lauderdale
• Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: ~45 Hours Per Week (Typically)
• Days Per Week: Monday to Friday
• Hours Per Day: ~9 hrs/day
• Starting Time: 8:00am

Project Management (CRUCIAL):

• Project Interface between Client, In-House Technicians, and Other Trades (Electrician, GC, Security, Designer, Architect)
• Must be able to read and understand project drawings and specifications
• Maintains project timelines, outstanding issues, and relevant next steps to resolution
• Manages project phases and necessary payment schedules (triggers billing)
• Creates and tracks Change Orders
• Proactive rather than reactive

Scheduling (CRUCIAL):

• Proactively schedules all necessary resources (internal and external)

Engineering (CRUCIAL):

• Tracking Field & Material changes
• Updating System Documentation (in the field on plans = “As-builts”)
• Communicate with Engineer regarding changes and follow-up as required

Products & Staging (CRUCIAL):

• Responsible for having appropriate tools and materials ready to execute the work order
• Reviews products and SOW to confirm that they align with field conditions
• Triggers product orders to meet project timelines

Punch List (CRUCIAL):

• Using design docs to determine punch list to be completed.
• Allocate resources to resolve any and all installation issues to produce a flawless and turn-key product.

Service Coordinator (CRUCIAL):

• Interface with clients for their service needs
• Assess service requests to determine appropriate course of action
• Assign resources for post-completion service work

Physical Capability:

• Ability to lift and manipulate a 50lb package
• Operate in a non-climate controlled environment
• Work inside and outside in various weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
