Job Description :

The Product Marketing Specialist is the keeper of all information relating to all Support Systems Product Lines. Responsible for introduction, marketing and selling current support systems products as well as new product development. Responsible for marketing strategies with review and analysis of support systems product lines and their market penetration.

Product Marketing

  • Work with Marketing and Sales to create strategy for product lines, including input into digital strategy
  • Guide the development of Collateral Materials, Price Sheets, Sample Kits, Distributor P.O.P. Displays for all existing and any new products that may be developed.
  • Select, participate in, and coordinate Trade Show and Buying Group Activities where a Display Booth or Tabletop Display is Required.
  • Determine what product samples are needed for Trade Shows and put them together for the shows.
  • Assist in the Development of Distributor Product Specific Requests for Collateral and Promotional Materials.
  • Maintain the Pedigree, Specifications, and Regulatory Requirements of all Existing and any New Products that May be Developed.
  • Assure that Product Labeling Standards are in conformance with Market Requirements for all Existing and New Products that may be developed.
  • Rationalize, Change, or Recommend Packaging Methods and Box Quantities on all Current as well as any New Products that may be developed.
  • Maintain UPC File and Assignment of UPC’s to All Existing Products and any New Products that may be developed.
  • Assure that Testing Requirements are Completed and Kept up to Date on All Existing and any New Products that may be developed.
  • Determine and carry out what Tests Need to be Performed and can add Value to All Existing and any New Products that may be developed.

Product Development

  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Operations on product launches; APQP, integration, training, costing, testing, promotions, pricing.
  • Coordinate with Sales to analyze market and competitors to determine add-ons to New Product Pipeline
  • Work independently to Identify New Products or Product Line Extensions to Existing Products.
  • Identify, Catalog, and Maintain the Visibility of a New Product Pipeline Path for Completely New Product Lines as well as Product Line Extensions to Existing Products.
  • Develop Sales Budgets, expected margins, SKU Level Inventory Investment, and Footprint Requirements for New Products or Product Line Extensions.
  • Develop a Product Line Market Matrix for what Products are sold into each Segment for Cross Selling Purposes.

Growth Products

  • Drive sales results for Growth Products through promotions and incentives
  • Track and analyze new/growth product sales, make course correction recommendations
  • Implement active training plan for RSMs, Reps, Customer Service, Key Distributors
  • Perform monthly Growth Product Update

Operations

  • Provide support and advisory for active operational projects
  • Create SOP processes working with sales and operations to improve efficiency

Sales Analysis and Reporting

  • Review product and sales data to find opportunities for growth of high margin and high potential products
  • Develop sales tools to accelerate growth of clamping product line
  • Design and coordinate distribution and review of sales reports (produced by APA)
  • Perform Ad hock reporting and data requests for Sales and Executive Team

Product Profitability

  • Manage pricing initiative to analyze and recommend pricing strategies
  • Work with operations cost reduction programs for key products

Competitive Intelligence

  • Profile all key competitors: analyze pricing strategies, create strategies to market against each, prepare training materials for sales, perform piers import analysis, track competitor new product development
  • Maintain Competitive Cross References on all Competitors on all products.

Strategic Account Support

  • Manage and complete all activation file activities, work with sales and key distributors on new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in Product Management
  • Proficient in various data analytics tools, Excel, Pivot Tables, ERP Systems
  • MACOLA knowledge preferred
  • Understands commercial and manufacturing processes
  • Can work across commercial and operations teams
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to distill an issue or project into a succinct overview and then present it to a team
  • Able to work independently

Compensation

Target Salary: $80K
