The Product Development Manager role is a fast-paced, challenging, hands-on position responsible for evaluating and resolving technical feasibility, design optimization and production issues. He/she manages and coordinates cannabis product development projects.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years of experience in research and product development in the cannabis Industry.
• Good knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, planning and resource allocation) with strong team leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and software systems.
• Good understanding of cannabis regulatory requirements.

Skills, Abilities & Essential Duties:

• Researches and monitors existing client base and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities, while eliminating stagnant products as needed.
• Oversees all research & development activities, while working with other departments to establish a design, technology, product development and vendor strategy.
• Manages project budgets and prepares financial analysis reports for senior management.
• Creates and maintains basic product information, including cost and pricing, case quantity, product descriptions, product status, and organic certifications.
• Ensures that labeling and marketing/promotional literature match product specifications.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
• Resolves technical and production-related problems to assure completion of weekly schedules.
• Monitors production activities and presents recommendations to improve and enhance production and operational efficiency.
• Stays abreast of all local and state regulations for the cannabis Industry.
• Participates in product recall activities and complaint investigations as needed.

Pay: $72,974.75 - $120,000.00 per year
