NOTE: This is an onsite/in office position located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The Product Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing product design, development and documentation of all products for assigned business units meeting/exceeding sales and margin plan. The Product Manager will also be responsible for the development of Marketing Coordinators if assigned.

This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

Product Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead product development including voice of customer research, defining critical
• Customer and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding business and financial justification.
• ·Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitive strategy, and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product and process differentiation.
• Develop comprehensive marketing plans for assigned products.
• Responsible for upstream marketing deliverables such as business cases, pricing, product positioning, white papers, product life cycle plans and advising on product improvements and new product needs.
• Working with marketing to create and communicating global launch plans including market segmentation, value proposition, commercialization strategy, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing, and positioning.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop the right product to fill market needs and serve as customer advocate interacting w/ functional partners including Sales, Engineering, R&D, Finance, Service and Quality.
• Support sales & distributor education with updated materials and communications on an ongoing basis.
• Support in the creation of product marketing collateral and content such as product sheets, product videos, brochures, business case studies, etc.
• Manage product lifecycle and use data to drive decision making to scope and prioritize new requirements or address defects/issues in the product based on business and customer impact.
• Assist with long-term strategy development and product pipeline portfolio management aligned with business strategy.
• Work with R&D and consulting agencies to develop and implement testing protocols.
• Develop and expand technical knowledge necessary for product line management and customer interaction.
• Lead process development projects such as development of the stage gate process.
• Lead new market research projects by working in collaboration with Market Research Analyst.

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2-5 years of experience in product management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must have a sense of urgency and be deadline-oriented.
• Must have strong analytical skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills a must.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Demonstrates attention to detail /organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment.
• Strong MS Office proficiency is a must.
