Our staff of 35-40 people is dedicated to surgical weight loss procedures for patients with BMIs between 35-100. We are currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team that has the desire to interact with patients in a manner that supports the mission and goals of our program to help patients achieve maximum weight loss and live their best life. 75% of our patients are MediCal and 25% commercial health insurance and we treat all patients in an environment of respect.

You will work alongside our team of bariatric surgeons, medical assistants, insurance coordinators, dieticians and psychologist among the rest of the staff that supports patient goals.

Position Summary

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary based on experience and ability to contribute to the team. Recent graduates OK, increasing salary based on experience as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in a clinical setting as well as in the hospital providing 1st assist duties.

Provide patient care under the supervision of 4 General Surgeons who specialize in laparoscopic bariatric procedures and robotic surgeries. Work in tandem with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Provide 1st assist duties to surgeons on a daily or weekly basis once granted hospital privileges (additional compensation provided).

Required

PA-C or Nurse Practitioner with unrestricted CA license

Prescriptive authority with current CA DEA registration or in process of completion

Desired

Bilingual in Spanish

This job is ideal for someone who wants to work in a hospital setting assisting surgeons during surgery.
