PHYSICAL THERAPIST- Pediatrics (INPATIENT)

We are looking for a per-diem pediatric physical therapist to join our collaborative interdisciplinary team. Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well as part of a team, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Therapist Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy assessment and intervention to children/young adults ages birth-21 yrs.
• Maintain treatment environment and supplies to support physical therapy services.
• Build and maintain rapport with family members, provides parent/caregiver education as needed.
• Complete professional documentation and billing according to facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with other team members about physical therapy services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary Plan of Care documentation and care conferences as requested.
• Enter appropriate billing for patient services into the electronic medical system.
• Develop, write, and instruct patients and families in therapy home programs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff members.
• Assist in projects related to the development of clinical programs and/or accomplishment of department goals.

Position Details: < 20 hours (casual status – non-benefited)

• Schedule is flexible.

PT Qualifications: Current PT Licensure

• Ability to meet deadlines; detailed and task-oriented.
• Comfort participating as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• 1+ years experience with pediatric population is preferred, but not required. New Grads welcome.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
