Job Summary

REHAB AT WORK is looking for a Physical Therapist Tuesday/Thursday 8-11am and 1-4pm twice weekly. The role is providing PT services for inmates at the county correctional facility in Clarksburg, MD. The job requires a two day paid orientation in regards to safety protocols for the facility. In 10 years of this contract we have never had a safety concern with this position and measures are taken such as correctional officer supervision to ensure our staff's protection in this atypical environment.

We specialize in outpatient physical and occupational therapy, industrial rehabilitation, work related injuries, ergonomics and work site evaluations. Responsibilities

We are looking for a physical therapist to fulfill our contract with the local correctional facility with the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Evaluating & treating patients with orthopedic injuries
• Performing physical therapy evaluations & treatments
• Ensure patients are educated regarding their injury and injury prevention
• Experience in interfacing with prescribing physician
• Ensure patient's injuries do not deteriorate during their time incarcerated

Basic Qualifications

• License received or eligible for Maryland
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of the correctional officers' team
• Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint analysis
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Converse with the physician in regards to treatment plans and authorization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or interest in orthopedics
• Manual therapy
• Well versed in differential diagnosis
