Costco is growing and currently seeking pharmacists to fill our per diem position available at our Mooresville, NC warehouse.

Position Summary

Dispense prescription medications in a high volume pharmacy.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Dispenses prescription medications, measures and counts, labels prescriptions and applies warning stickers.
• Verifies prescriptions and refills with physicians by phone. Selects substitutes as necessary.
• Obtains patient medical history and maintains confidential computer records.
• Checks prescriptions and over the counter medications for drug interactions.
• Counsels patients on proper medication usage. Provides prompt and courteous customer service. Answers customer questions about over the counter medication and product location. Addresses other customer concerns including insurance issues. Preserves customer confidentiality.
• Assists with counter duties as necessary.
• Delivers immunizations.
• May be required to act as pharmacist in charge during part of shift, when pharmacy manager is not present. Act as a point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies and audit situations; monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance; supervises pharmacy technicians.
• Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

Required Skills, Abilities and Certifications

Required:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing, Immunization Certification.
• Bachelor of Science or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• CPR Certification.
