This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), night shift Registered Nurse position in the Pediatrics Department.

The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.

Minimum Required: RN License required. BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire. PALS and ACLS within six (6) months of hire. Three - Five (3-5) years inpatient pediatric experience required. Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred / Desired: BSN Preferred. PICU experience preferred. Previous Pediatric Acute Care and Critical Care experience strongly preferred. Pediatric certifications preferred. Certifications Preferred.

Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend.

Experience

• 3 - 5 years: Inpatient pediatric experience.

• PICU Experience.
• Previous Pediatric Acute Care and Critical Care experience

Education

• Associates or better in Nursing or related field
