We are looking for a committed and client/family-focused Pediatric Physical Therapist to work in an Early Start Program working with children one to three years old with a disability. The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule and meet the needs of the Early Start Program. Services are provided in the home, the infant centers and other environments suitable for that child and his or her family.

Responsibilities:

The primary role of the physical therapist will be to work as part of a multidisciplinary team that will support with assessing developmental level of functioning, development of therapy plan, review needs and assess for adaptive equipment as well as provide ongoing physical therapy services for children under the age of three Duties to include:

• Complete developmental assessments using standardize testing tools (DAYC 2,Bayley - 4, and I Peabody)
• Address social emotional development including child and family outcomes in reports.

• Development of therapy plan that will support with implementation in the natural environment, the frequency of service and a home program.

• Review needs and assess when there is a need for adaptive equipment; including orthotics.

• Prepare written reports of assessments

• Maintain ongoing documentation for individual treatment

• Provide ongoing parent education

• Collaborate with other professionals

Education/ Experience: Graduation from an accredited College/University with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. A minimum of two years early intervention experience in working with children at risk for having a developmental disability(ies) in the 0 -3 age range/pediatric group in a clinical and/or hospital based setting. Must be licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of practices, techniques, theories and principles of human growth and development; administration and interpretation of developmental assessment tests, adaptive devices for individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance to physical therapy standards, telehealth abilities.

Must possess the ability to accurately interpret developmental test results and make recommendation for ongoing therapy. Must have the capacity for engaging with parents/families/care givers with an understanding of family centered services and social emotional development. Must have the ability to demonstrate a home program within the child's natural environment. Must demonstrate the ability to develop goals focusing on child and family outcomes.

Special Requirement: Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Mandarin–Cantonese, Bilingual English/Vietnamese preferred.
