We are a 30-year-old leading produce wholesaler looking for an outside sales representative. This position will work remotely and will be responsible for building and developing long-lasting customer relationships by selling fresh produce and other foodservice products to new customers. Prior sales experience is not required; however, a foodservice background and/or grocery store experience is a must. We look for experienced, honest, and passionate individuals who are highly organized, quick learners, and are willing to go the extra mile to help their customers.

• Will have prior expereince selling to grocery stores or foodservice distributors
• Experience with and knowledge of produce is highly preferred
• Persistent work ethic and self-motivation with strong attention to detail
• Willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate the needs of their customers
• Ability to be resilient in a high-energy, fast-paced, and competitive setting

Responsibilities

• Cold-calling new opportunities; prospecting/opening new accounts to meet company objectives
• Pricing and order-guide building
• Developing and maintaining new accounts and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth
• Building strong customer relationships and providing great customer service to ensure repeat business
• Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the accounting department and customer to collect all balances
• Maintain a great working relationship with customer service department and operational teams

This position may require working non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to successfully meet customers’ needs. Candidates must have negotiation and closing proficiency, persuasive communication and presentation skills, verbal and written. Candidate must also possess strong problem solving and analytical.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
