JENNMAR Services is searching for a qualified Millwright General Foreman/Operations Manager with proven leadership experience in Industrial/Commercial construction, and/or maintenance to expand the coverage of our Industrial/Commercial Construction division into the Alabama area of the US.

As a JENNMAR Services manager, you will be a part of a World-wide Company established in all aspects of the Mining/Energy Industries. Our goal is to have Millwright, Welder, Fabricators completing quality work for but not limited to all major Mining/Energy markets from Aggregate Mines to Coal Mines & Coal fired Power Plants to Nucular Power Plants. Completeing work in any Inustrial/Commercial setting from Plant Maintenance to Turn-Key projects. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience Estimating, Quoting, and Planning projects in related fields with Customers and possible future employee Contacts in the local area. This position requires the availability and willingness for phone calls, text messages, and emails 24/7--365 days a year. The candidate will need to be highly motivated, consistent, and willing to Develop a well-rounded, skilled, long-term group of employees to consistently complete projects on-time and to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to: Overseeing day-to-day Operations, management of employees, and Sales (finding/locating) work. Candidate will need to be self-motivated with little supervision. The candidate will be responsible for interviewing/hiring, scheduling of work for said employees, developing long-lasting relationships with Customers, and will be responsible for truck/trailer and tool inventory. Candidate will need to be proficient with computers, and have the ability to use basic computer programs to create quotes, receive & send emails and create schedules.

  • Position requires problem-solving, time management, organization, and written and verbal communication.
  • Represent the company professionally with customers, employees, and sub contractors at all times.
  • Candidate will be responsible for Estimating, Quoting, Planning, and Verifying the scope of work or each project.
  • Operations Manager is responsible for “running” jobs and overseeing crew(s) of Millwright, Ironworker, Fabricators and ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Engaged with Customers and other project members on plans, safety, and success of theproject which includes making sure schedules and deadlines are met on time and efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to work as a Field foreman while still maintaining normal Management responsibilities until a Qualified Field Foreman is found.
  • Field Foreman are expected to install fabricated materials with minimal assistance and ensure installation is to code and standards set by MSHA/OSHA and the Customer.
  • Develop, refine, and update project schedules to ensure manpower requirements are met and all milestones are identified and tracked.
  • Review all paperwork and responsibilities of the job to ensure accuracy.
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure thejob site consistently meets or exceeds MSHA &/or OSHA safety standards.
  • Communicate schedule updates to all employees, customers, and sub-contractors.
  • Perform inspection and walk-throughs of jobs, and make certain work is complete and clean-up is done.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate all accidents and report in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings with all employees.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Applicant must have Professional References from prior Employers or Superiors.
  • Must have theability to plan, organize, prioritize, and communicate effectively and professionally
  • Must be very familiar with the Alabama area and have had prior experience with local customers and contacts of qualified employees to work for said Ops Manager.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School required. College Degree is a Plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and change daily workload and work with minimum supervision in order to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 5 years ofindustrial/commercial construction/maintenance (Millwright, Ironworker &/or Fabricator).
  • Minimum 5 years ofgeneral welding experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years ofleadership experience as Superintendent, General Foreman, or equivalent.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 7 days a week as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR.
  • Applicant needs to have a basic knowledge of ASME code and AWS code to supervise welding and fabrication projects.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work freely in an elevated position.
  • Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, and/or platforms, bend and squat
  • Ability to walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
  • Able to work any shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay

  • Salary/Hourly pay rate will depend on Experience & Ability and is at the sole discretion of theEmployer.
  • Monthly cell phone allowance.
  • Monthly vehicle allowance &/or fuel card.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
