Cascade Park Active Day, Tacoma's premier affordable Adult Day Health community, is seeking a dependable Part Time (10-15 hours per week) Occupational Therapist to work in our Adult Day Health program with memory care, for developmentally challenged and traumatic brain injured clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• This role will require you to routinely evaluate, assess, and develop the OT services and associated ancillary care being provided to our program participants
• You will be responsible for directing, planning, supervising, and coordinating the subacute rehabilitative occupational therapy restorative services being provided by our Restorative Aides and auxiliary program staff
• This position will require you to evaluate the delivery of all subacute rehabilitative physical therapy and associated restorative services to ensure that standards are maintained in full compliance with state regulatory requirements while adhering to Cascade Senior Living Services policies and procedures

Qualifications and skills:

• Must hold a current Washington State occupational therapy (OT) license, which is in good standing, with no practice restrictions.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a social or health setting.
• Must have knowledge of physical therapy practices in the care of vulnerable adults.
• A knowledge and understanding of the regulations governing Adult Day Health in Washington state, and prior work experience in such a setting(s) is preferred.
• The ability to make appropriate decisions related to participant care is a must.
• Must be able to provide leadership to therapy-related care functions, such as staff training and supervision, the protection of participant rights, and the provision of quality care.
• Must possess appropriate communication skills to foster and maintain positive relations with program participants, families, physicians, state officials, Company staff, and outside healthcare agencies.
• Must be able to work as part of a team, while teaching, monitoring, and motivating the performance of others.
