Job Description :

Our OTs directly contributes to our mission of making autism services personal by creating customized OT plans, through collaboration with the clients full care team, as part of HHF’s Integrated Care Model. This team member will also build relationships with the clients and their local community to bring positive awareness to our business and the ASD community.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct assessments and provide interpretation and results with the clinician's recommendations as they relate to a child's strengths and needs in the following areas:
  • Fine Motor: including visual motor, ocular motor, functional ranges of motion, hand skills and grasp
  • Gross Motor: including balance, praxis, coordination of timing tasks
  • Sensory Processing and Sensory Modulation
  • Executive Functions
  • Self-Regulation and Attention
  • Strength and Balance, motor coordination/planning, & praxis skills
  • Self Care as it may relate to fine/gross motor skills and sensory processing
  • Feeding: as it relates to sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills
  • Review assessment report and recommendations with the client’s care team, including the child's family members, Clinical Director and BCBA.
  • Create and discuss goals with care team to determine areas of overlap and develop a plan for consistency and expectations for generalization.
  • Make recommendations for treatment including intensity, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy sessions.
  • Provide treatment/direct skilled intervention for the client.
  • Provide proper and timely documentation, including but not limited to:
  • Daily session notes documenting goals and skills targeted, and interventions utilized during treatment sessions.
  • Quarterly progress reports documenting overall client progress toward goals.
  • Collect and maintain data as it pertains to the child's specific OT goals and update the care team when changes are needed based on progress.
  • Complete re-evaluations every 6 months for each client and update the plan of care and treatment recommendations as necessary based on the clients progress toward their goals.
  • Documentation and convert sessions as billed or cancelled within the Central Reach platform in a timely manner (within 24 hours of end of session).
  • All other duties assigned

Skills and Competencies:

  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of our clients.
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active State appropriate license is required as an OT & in good standing.
  • 3+ years in the field of OT, preferably within the pediatric population.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered if they possess exceptional student experiences with relevant populations and outstanding performance ratings.
  • Adherence to the AOTA's code of ethics and will place the highest value on evidence-based interventions
  • Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills with care teams, family members and caregivers of the client.
  • Must pass internal competency within 90 days of hire.

The performance evaluation is conducted by the Director of Integrated Services.
