Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Provide assistance and support to physicians and other medical providers in assessing, planning, and providing patient care to both adult and pediatric members
• Identify problems based upon interpretation of findings and evaluate need for immediate nursing intervention, consultation and referral to other health team members
• Participate with the physician in the formulation of policies, procedures, and protocols for the management of particular health problems
• Adhere to documentation guidelines and requirements to maintain accurate electronic and medical records that comply with regulatory requirements
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, statutes, regulatory requirements related to the practice of medicine
• Evaluate and treat patients and perform routine follow ups and required
• Maintain proper chart documentation and complete within legally required timelines
• Participate in staff and educational trainings
• Abides by all applicable laws and regulations as mandated by state and federal laws and prevents being excluded or sanctioned from any state and/or federal programs as they pertain to healthcare.
• Provide high-quality and ethical patient care to members within scope of practice and skill that follow evidence-based practice. Patient cases include low risk to moderate care, under close clinical supervision of a physician.

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Nurse Practitioners: Requires a valid and current Licensure and Furnishing Number from California CBRN.
• Requires at least 4 years of post-graduate experience, minimum two years Pediatric experience
• Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Typically, viewed as a specialist within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management.
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
  

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 118800.00 to $ 178200.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
