Rehabilitation Support Services is looking for a part or full time Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry for our Capital District PROS and Article 31 Clinic. This can be a staff or consultant position. The NPP is responsible for overseeing the prescription and use of psychotropic medications for program participants enrolled in the clinic component of PROS and Capital District Clinic.

Responsibilities and duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs medication review for all participants enrolled in the clinic component of PROS and Capital District Clinic, at least every three months.
• Prescribes all psychotropic medication as indicated based on results of medication reviews and laboratory tests.
• Performs psychiatric evaluations for all participants enrolled in the clinic component of PROS and Capital District Clinic.
• Consults with the Regional Director and program staff as needed regarding treatment intervention, and in psychiatric emergencies.
• Is accessible to other agency staff and collateral of the participant for their input of data for medication monitoring. This is accomplished at the medication review meeting.
• Consults with local crisis units and hospitals in cases of psychiatric emergency to facilitate participant evaluation and hospitalization.
• Participates in the rehabilitation planning process with the treatment team by attending weekly treatment team meetings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
