Oversee wireless network, including corporate and ISP portions. Design, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and otherwise support all aspects of Celerity Internet’s network.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain existing network, ensuring uptime, reliability and performance for subscribers.

· Monitor and respond to alarms, outages and performance issues, resolving them as quickly as possible.

· Design and plan new network installations, ensuring consistency with existing network practices and reliability.

· Provide guidance and recommendation for new site deployments.

· Create budgets as needed.

· Interact with and place orders with vendors.

· Create as built and procedural documentation for the network.

· Participate in on-call duties and provide emergency and after-hours escalation support.

· Provide escalation support to field techs and help desk technicians.

· Provide supervision to employees, ensuring quality of work and consistent application of networking and other internal work standards.*

· Setting and approving employees work schedules and priorities, including approving time off requests and time sheets in a timely manner.*

· Ensuring employees’ adherence to company policies and procedures, including company credit card usage, company vehicle usage and any other company resources.*

*Not applicable if there are no supervised employees.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required competencies with the following protocols/technologies:

o OSPF v2 and v3

o RSTP

o IPv4

o IPv6

· Optional, but desired competencies:

o BGP

o MPLS

· Prefer experience with Mikrotik and Juniper

· Strong understanding of wireless networking and RF behavior

· Knowledge of DC power (up to 48V nominal)

· Tracing circuits and troubleshooting power

· Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to working around towers

· Knowledge of company policies and procedures

· Ability to pay close attention to nuance and fine details

· Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and maintaining a professional attitude

· Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

· Some college preferred

· Technical certificates preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to hear well enough to communication with other employees and business contacts.

· Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, reach, and grasp with hands and arms.

· Must have good visual acuity without any color deficit and the ability to read computer screens.

· Frequent exposure to outside elements, including dust, fumes, water and adverse temperatures.

· Frequently required to stoop, bend, or kneel.

· May be required to lift, carry, push or pull medium to heavy loads.

· Ability to work at height (roof top, ladder, bucket truck).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
