Integrative / Holistic Medical office looking for an experienced, dependable Medical Receptionist with remarkable people skills. The position is considered a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by our practice. The ideal candidate can multi-task, is self-motivated, enthusiastic, has a professional attitude and appearance, and a high level of patient service and commitment. Must work collaboratively with all clinical services staff in support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and a “can do” attitude. Position requires someone with strong people and communication skills, computer skills, and a knack for social media.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing day-to-day general office duties including but not limited to copying, filing, faxing, answering phones and data entry.
  • Welcoming and greeting patients/clients/visitors to the practice.
  • Scheduling appointment, entering patient demographics.
  • Providing excellent customer service for patients.
  • Organizing and maintaining patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas.
  • Accurate payment processing.
  • Exercising problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints.
  • Providing patient advocacy and education.
  • Performing other duties as may be needed.

Qualifications:

  • Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA
  • Must have the ability to exercise excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced phone skills.
  • Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the practice.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English; Additional language abilities desirable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills.
  • Training and/or experience with computer data entry

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent; medical receptionist experience in comparable health care setting preferable

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Preferred experience:

  • Medical Assistant: 1 year
  • Medical Office Receptionist: 1 year

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
