We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing pain management practice and surgery center. Ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, exceptional communication skills, and strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Must have phlebotomy experience and a current BLS certification. A stable work history of 5+ years in a fast-paced medical office, preferably in a pain management setting. Salary is based on experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Paid Vacation, and 401k.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet patients
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to a patient visit
• Take medical history and document vitals
• Assist physician(s) with exams, treatments, and procedures
• File, update, and organize patient charts or digital medical records
• Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Explain treatment procedure(s) to patient
• Administer Injections
• Process Prescriptions
• Maintains medical supplies inventory
• Answer phones
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• All other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• Completed a Medical Assistant program
• Between 5 years of experience – preferred
• A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology.
• Familiarity with an electronic medical record system – eClinical Works knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Team oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
