Busy OB/GYN practice in Clearwater, Florida, is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Answering phones.
• Preparing patient for provider includes obtaining vital signs and recording patient’s reason for visit.
• Cleaning and preparing room for examinations.
• Assisting providers during exams and medical procedures.
• Ensures chart readiness prior to patient visit.
• Updating patient medical history.
• Contacts patients as needed to give testing results, instructions from the physician and scheduling of necessary visits.
• Give injections.
• Assists in simple office and minor surgical procedures.

Requirements :

• Prior work experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Close attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Be able to deal with patients and co-workers in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner.
• Must be certified
• Must be Bilingual Spanish/English
