Join our Office staff! We are an independant Family Practice Office serving the community. We are expanding and would like to add you to our accomplished staff. By joing our staff, you will work side by side with our physicians, PAs and other staff members in a clinic setting to provide excellent care for our patients. We work in a warm, dynamic environment where patient care comes first.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

-The Medical Assistant II (MA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment and ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians.
-The MA Performs patient intake process (vital signs, history, medication review) and documents in the EMR.
-Thw MA Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
-The MA Prepares, cleans exam and procedure rooms and sets up approiate supplies
-The MA will assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow-up office visits, imaging and lab work, and preparation of appropriate chart elements.
-The MA performs clinical procedures including ,but not limited to , adminstering medications and injections as directed by the clinician, Blood draws, ear lavage, and EKG and documents in the EMR.
-The MA assists the providers with invasive procedures and minor surgeries, exhibiting sterile technique.
-The responsibilities of this position would also include the pre-authorization process for referrals and medications .
-The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with staff to ensure all proper records are received and all appropriate testing is complete prior to visits.
-THe MA will take and make calls, recording messages in the EMR and notifing the clinicians of urgent calls.
-The MA will demonstrate proficinecy of all duties within the Medical assistant
Scope of Practice.
-The MA must be at work on time.
-Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required Skills and Qualifications

-High School graduate or equivalent
-Graduate of Medical Assistant program
-Basic knowledge of medical terminology
-Basic keyboarding skills and some experience with EMR
-Full COvid-19 vaccination is essential , and necessary proof of vaccination and boosters will be obtained prior to hiring.
-We comply with all federal , state and local Covid-19 vaccination requirements.

Preferred Skills

-1 year previous experinece in medical front/back office experience
-bilingual or multilingual
-EMR experience
-Experience in working with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurances.

Pay scale, based on experience and training $18 - $ 22/ hour
