As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Collect vital signs and document basic medical history
• Receive and triage patient messages
• Update and scan medical records
• Distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms
• Completing medication refill requests
• Travel to satellite clinics (Newton, Marion, Hesston, Valley Center, St. Theresa hospital) may be required, with mileage reimbursement

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant or certified nurses assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Experience with use of electronic medical records
• Working well with others as part of cohesive team
• Experience with EKGs and placing monitors is preferred, but not required
• Ability to arrive to work on time with minimal absenteeism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
