Mechanical Design Engineer

What You Will Be Doing

• Work closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, PMO, and marketing on multiple projects/programs
• Design engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware and electronics
• Perform data analysis and simulations in the lab
• Design, develop and execute test plans for both existing and new designs
• Performance validation, acoustics, shock/vibration, system power testing/measurements, electromagnetic interference testing, etc.

What You Need for this Position

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering / mechanical design experience for electronics, hardware, networking, storage, compute, or thermal products
• Background in thermal design, electronics packaging, and/or experience with density systems used in data centers and networking
• Strong skills in thermal and mechanical testing (thermal chambers, accelerometers, thermocouples, etc.)
• Scripting/coding skills preferably with python or similar
• Excellent design skills for mechanisms, sheet metal, plastics, heatsinks, etc.
• Mechanical design tool experience (3D CAD, SolidWorks, Parametric/Creo, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Aerospace, or similar field
